Funding for 2 Year Old Children.

Your child may be entitled to 15 hours free childcare the term after his/her second birthday during term time.

Funding for 3 and 4 year old children.

From the beginning of the term after their third birthday all 3 year old children are eligible to receive 15 hours of free education during term time. This continues when they become 4 years old.

Although education is free, food and services are not free.

All funded sessions are subject to charges for meals and snacks, nappies, wipes and nappy cream

Funding for 30 hours.

From January 2020 The Haven will offer 30 hours funding during school term times to families who are eligible to claim. It will be offered on a sessional basis where each session is of 5 hours in duration (8am to 1pm/1pm to 6 pm). We are aware  that the 30 hours funding is offered to working parents/carers who need childcare during many of the school holidays. We remain open during school holidays and ask Parents and Carers to book in advance, the additional paid sessions that they will require.

For more information about funded sessions and to check if you are eligible go to

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP).

Some children who are receiving the 3 & 4 year old free 15 hour educational entitlement could be eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium from their local Authority. This means that The Haven could get up to £300 each year to spend on equipment and resources to benefit your child’s attainment. For more information visit
