Childcare Costs

Childcare costs

Some employers offer child care vouchers as a means of reducing your child care costs. A maximum of £243.00 per month  can be taken from your salary with no stoppages for income tax or National Insurance contributions for the sole purpose of paying for registered child care. There are many registered child care voucher companies. Speak to your employer to see if they belong to any of the schemes.

Two Year old Funding

Your child may be eligible to attend Nursery for up to 15 hours per week free , beginning the term following their second birthday during term time only not including teacher training days. There are qualifying criteria. You will need your National Insurance Number or National Asylum Seekers Support Number to apply.  If eligible, the Online Eligibility Checker (OEC ) will give you a reference number which remains active for six weeks. If the reference number expires, you will need to use the OEC again to obtain another valid reference number.  Take this reference number to your chosen childcare provider.  Go to https://www.myearlylearning.co.uk/EarlyYears/About

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is funding which can be claimed by The Haven to be used to benefit your child according to their need. Funding has been used to support children’s social and emotional development, their speech, transition to school etc. We will discuss your child’s needs with you and explain how the funding could be used to support your child.
